Relaunch of fresh-pool.de and garten.com

In February 2021, LiGaLo GmbH and the digital agency Netformic launched two new web shops: www.fresh-pool.de and www.garten.com.

The first step was to take a total of four shops into two, the range was slimmed down a bit for the start to concentrate fully on the expansion and usability of the shops. Technically, both shops were implemented in Shopware 6 which is connected to Brickfox so that the products and orders can be imported automatically.

The technical platform was established in such a way that it is easy to set up additional shops in other languages, for example. There is no limit in web-shop numbers. It is also possible to set up a completely new shop or to roll out existing multilingual shops.

CF Group is printing delifol liners

Since beginning of March 2021, the high-quality delifol prints and borders are being produced in-house at the Buhl site in France. The newly installed printing press (built in 1980) has been consistently overhauled and thus meets the high quality requirements of delifol brand. At 3 meters per minute, up to 2 meter wide triple-ply liner rolls can be printed. Approx. Currently, approximately 50,000 square meters are produced in this way during the season.

The CF Group is the only manufacturer on the market with this pvc on pvc printing process. This strengthens our market position, expands the know-how within the group and underpins the major advantages of speed, flexibility and independence.

Stay Bee – a pilot project of the STAY foundation

The CF Group supports the STAY Foundation since 2020 as part of the campaign “Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs”. Today we’ll present the project “STAY BEE”.

This is an example of an income revenue pogramme, which is currently being tested as a pilot. This project makes it possible for 250 families, or arround 1.500 women, men and children, to free themselves from poverty in a suistainable manner.

Small farmers with a monthly income of 30 to 50 Euro* receive training as beekeepers, a protective suit, a first bee colony** and ongoing support from the LATEK Stay Alliance Uganda. Their production of honey and beeswax is bought from the lead partner “Golden Bees” at a guaranteed preferential price. This permanent additional income enables the smallholders to pay back the initial investment in the medium term. Thus, the project becomes a permanent program that finances itself and grows out of itself.

* The subsistence level in Uganda is 150 euros per month. For example, 1 liter of milk costs 0.52 euros, 500g of white bread 0.78 euros, 1kg of rice 0.99 euros, and a two-room apartment outside the city center costs about 100 euros monthly rent.

** Among other things variants of different start equipment are tested with one or also several bee colonies. The costs then differ and provide valuable insights into a more effective approach.

A DIN-label for the pool

Did you know? The CF Group is significantly involved in the development of a new DIN standard on environmental performance efficiency for domestic swimming pools (EN 17645). The Chairperson of this DIN working group is a CF Group employee. It is planned to introduce a kind of label – comparable to the energy labels A++, A+, A, B etc. already in use and known for household appliances – for pools and accessories by 2023.

We are looking forward to the results and will take this into account in future product development to set a new standard here.

The sun smiles and brings energy

In perfect harmony with the good weather, the solar power plant at the headquarters in Wendlingen went into operation on March 25, 2021. With this step, the site will achieve climate neutrality.

“We use a holistic solution here that covers all apsects of an energy generation and distribution. The photovoltaic system is part of this solution, which makes it possible for us to produce even more than our own requirements on sunny days,” says Mike Eberhardt, Prokurist (authorized signatory) of Chemoform AG.

The installed 1613.1 sqm generator area, on the roof of the Chemoform AG headquarters with 325.04 kWp = 270 kW maximum power at optimal solar irradiation will generate about 309,000 kWh of climate-neutral solar power per year. This is roughly equivalent to the annual demand of 100 private households.

With intelligent load management, more than 60% of the generated electricity is used by the company itself. Thus, one is normally self-sufficient from March to the end of September.

The excess electricity produced is fed into the public grid. Thus, the solar power plant contributes to the supply of the region with sustainably produced energy.

Facts and figures:

  • Total generator area = 1613.1 sqm = 940 modules
  • total generator power = 325,04 kWp = 270 kW
  • Annual output = 309.000 kWh
  • Own use share = 60%
  • CO2 avoidance = 185,620 kg/year

Cooking Sessions at CF Group France

Last week, 2 sessions of “videoconference cooking” have been organized by CF Group France.

During 1h30, everyone at home followed the Chef to realize a delicious recipe and cook at the same time, either alone or in family, but all together behind the screen. We got around 10 participants per session.
On Tuesday evening, they cooked asparagus ravioli and vegetable consommé. On Saturday at lunchtime, they realized fine grilled leek and parmesan tart.

Everyone enjoyed this time and their meal !

Re-Opening of the site near Bordeaux

On March 24, a CF Group France site was re-opened in Bruges. The previous production site was converted into a logistics site with 800 sqm of warehouse space. A sales team is also housed on site in order to be able to offer customers the best service in the future. A separate showroom will be helpful in this regard.

The transformation of the location in Brugge is also a new challenge for the employees, as they had no previous experience in the field of logistics. However, the internal trainings were accepted with enthusiasm and determination and we wish everyone a great start and much success.

Established throughout Europe, the CF Group is now present in France in Brécé (35), Pia (66), Saint-Rémy de Provence (13), Saint Quentin-Fallavier (38), Bruges (33) and Buhl (67).
